Choc Mousse – Recipe

Decadent, easy and delish – can’t beat this simple recipe I made up one day when in the mood for something sweet and chocolatty:

250g mascapone (Italian cheese – trust me, don’t wrinkle up your nose!)
500ml cream
2T white sugar
500g dark chocolate

Using whatever your fave method is: melt the bar of chocolate. Set aside to cool slightly.

Using a wooden spoon, beat the mascapone and sugar together til the cheese is soft and creamy, all of 2 mins tops! Add the cream and beat til it thickens slightly. At this point you can decide how long to beat it for – depending on how thick or smooth you like your mousse to be!

Carefully fold the melted chocolate through the cream and cheese mixture.
Pipe or spoon into serving cups and cover with cling film then chill for a few hours.

Serve with chocolate curls grated on top!



  1. “YUMMO” is right, but I want the stats on cholesterol/fat content. Don’t bring any of that over to Patsy and I Joyce(G).
